Magic garden
A few years ago, I had a crazy idea to build a website from scratch, this was when my ridiculous obsession with whimsical garden parties began (I haven’t quite grown out of that phase yet), an idea which never saw fruition.
I came across Alannah Hill‘s website a while back and spent a long time taking in all the details of the first two pages. Elements of her site were what I had imagined said website to look like. Gnomes! Mushrooms! Woodland critters!

Me-centric
We are a generation of me-centric individuals.
Everything we do is for our own personal comfort, for whatever makes us happy.
Gone are the days when one has to toil in silence, to support a large family or have to stay in a marriage to honour the sanctity of wedding vows.
We are a generation of quitters.
When the going gets tough, we whine, we complain, we say unkind things about other people, and more often that not, we quit.
Simply because, ‘I’m not happy’.
I’ve been a quitter before.
But I can’t quit now, and I will not complain, because all things considering, I am extremely fortunate.

I love Melissa shoes, especially the range designed by Vivienne Westwood. I love the element of whimsy in her designs and aesthetics aside, Melissa shoes are wonderfully pliable and comfortable.

Here are 2 sets of 6 surgeon’s or friction knots I did in a suturing workshop two weeks ago. It was good fun, and alot better than when we were holed up in a tiny space in the old medical building last year, pre elective, receiving training on basic suturing, on mouldy pig trotters that had been sitting out in the summer heat for a bit too long
One day we’ll get to do the real thing
